Entitled A Day in Gloucester, the reading will boast the talents of Michael McGrath, Kerry O'Malley, Nancy Johnston, Dorothy Stanley, Joe Kolinski, Michael McGurk, Jeff Williams, Jim Madden, Emily Walton, Drew Lewis, Ben Becher, Graham Rowat, Patti McClure, Emily Zuzelski. Lonny Price directs.

A Day in Gloucester features music and lyrics by Jim Walton and a book by Bob Walton.

The musical, according to the Waltons, "follows the story of Gavin Matthews – an aging, has-been novelist who now writes articles for a nature magazine in New York City, is sent to Gloucester, Massachusetts to cover their Revolutionary War Re-Enactment ceremony as well as the story behind a mystical flower that is found only in that town. Every year, Gloucester is transformed back to that of April 19, 1776 and the citizens dress and talk with complete historical accuracy, never breaking character. The only bright spot being a beautiful woman who portrays a key figure in the history of the town, but she wants nothing to do with Gavin and his cynicism. After meeting all the locals and suffering through the festival and the pageant that explains the mysteries of their town, Gavin tries to leave — only to learn that a strange fog has shut down all modes of transportation — he will have to spend the night and leave the following day. However, when he wakes up in the morning, the events of the previous day are repeating exactly as they happened before. No matter what he does, he seems destined to spend an eternity trapped in the eighteenth century."

Bob Walton has appeared on Broadway in City of Angels, Show Boat, Once Upon a Mattress and 42nd Street. Jim Walton's Broadway credits include The Music Man, Sweeney Todd, Stardust, Merrily We Roll Along, Perfectly Frank and 42nd Street; he will return to Broadway in the fall in the revival of Bye Bye Birdie. The duo have previously collaborated on Double Trouble (A Musical Tour de Farce) and My Brother's Keeper.
