Songs to Offend, according to press notes, is "the new over-the-top show of Sharon McNight. The selection of songs is a throwback to the party records of the 1950s and is designed to offend minorities and majorities of every persuasion."
In a statement McNight said, "This show contains adult language and content. Viewer discretion is advised."
Audiences can expect to hear songs by Tom Lehrer, Randy Newman, Durwood Douche, Chet Atkins ("Would Jesus Wear a Rolex") and Stephen Sondheim ("I Never Do Anything Twice"), among others.
Sharon McNight won a Theatre World Award and received a Tony nomination for her performance in Starmites, which marked her Broadway debut. Celebration Theatre is located at 7051B Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood, CA. For tickets call (323) 957-1884 or visit www.celebrationtheatre.com.
