The Center Stage Theatre in Baltimore, MD kicks off its 35th season with Shakespeare's classic comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, now in previews for an Oct. 8 opening. Irene Lewis (Artistic Director, Center Stage) will direct the production which will feature Center Stage veterans Lynnda Ferguson and Laurence O'Dwyer, as well as Daniel Oreskes, whose Broadway credits include The Song of Jacob Zulu and Crazy He Calls Me.

The play's elaborate set was designed by Tony Award winner Tony Straiges, costume design is by Constance Hoffman, and Stephen Strawbridge provided lighting design.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will run through Nov. 9 at the Pearlstone Theatre. Other shows in Center Stage's season include Splash Hatch on the E Going Down, a new play by Kia Corthron, Lorraine Hansberry's Les Blancs, the Gilbert and Sullivan classic, H.M.S. Pinafore, Paula Vogel's Off-Broadway success, How I Learned to Drive, and one additional play which has yet to be announced.
