News Meet and Greets With Bernadette Peters and Nick Adams Among Items Up for Grabs in Bid 2 Beat AIDS Auction Bid 2 Beat AIDS, a massive annual auction of rare and autographed items from stars in music, film, Broadway, sports and television, kicked off bidding Dec. 1—World AIDS Day—at noon on eBay.

Proceeds from the auction benefit Lifebeat - Music Fights HIV and its ongoing AIDS/HIV programs nationwide.

Bid 2 Beat AIDS is offering celebrity experiences with Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters (Follies tickets and a meet-and-greet), Joan Rivers, Devo, Michael Feinstein, David Hyde Pierce, Nick Adams (Priscilla tickets and a meet-and-greet), Lisa Lampanelli and Jerry Springer.

Memorabilia that is auctioned in Bid 2 Beat AIDS includes signed Playbills from The Book of Mormon, Sister Act, Bye Bye Birdie, Angels in America, God Of Carnage, The Scottsboro Boys and Good People; CDs signed by Sutton Foster, Vanessa Williams, Lea Delaria, Sherie Rene Scott and Patti LuPone; photos autographed by Liza Minnelli, Debbie Harry, Carol Channing, Sharon Gless, Chris Noth, Laura Linney and Chita Rivera; and other items signed by the cast of "Glee," the cast of Shrek, Madonna, Ricky Martin, Vanessa Williams, Hugh Jackman and others.

The centerpiece of the auction is a one-of-a-kind celebrity autographed "Lend-A-Hand to Lifebeat" card series. Over 150 stars—including Brooke Shields, James Earl Jones, John Leguizamo, Kara DioGuardi, Jerry Springer, Annie Potts, Jake Shears, Beth Leavel, Harvey Fierstein, Elaine Paige, Bobby Cannavale, Richard Thomas, Mink Stole, Kristin Chenoweth, Jerry O'Connell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jonathan Groff, John Cameron Mitchell and Alan Cumming—have traced their hands on special paper, adding an artistic touch and signature.
