Noises Off and Smash star Megan Hilty joins Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown at SubCulture August 15 for a night of music and memories. As he did with the Artist-In-Residency series in 2015, Brown curates each performance, weaving a mix of material from his personal career, along with new works in development.
The launch of the SubCulture series last year featured original members from each of his New York productions, including Kelli O’Hara, Steven Pasquale, Carolee Carmello, Jessica Molaskey, Lauren Kennedy, Betsy Wolfe, Graham Phillips, Allie Trimm and Aaron Simon Gross.
Brown is a composer, lyricist, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, director and performer. In 2014, his Bridges of Madison County was awarded Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Orchestrations. He was also awarded the Tony Award for Best Score for his 1999 musical Parade.
The evening with Hilty kicks off at 8 PM. For tickets visit subculturenewyork.com/event/jason-robert-brown169/ or the SubCulture box office, located at 45 Bleecker Street in New York City.
Watch Hilty sing songs from Bombshell and The Sound of Music at the Voices for the Voiceless Fundraiser.
