News Melissa Errico to Play Birdland in December Broadway favorite Melissa Errico, who was recently honored with a Woman of the Year Award by the Italian Welfare League, will go it solo at Birdland in December.

The former Amour star will play the famed Manhattan jazz club Dec. 11. Errico is expected to perform tunes from her upcoming album as well as her debut solo disc, "Blue Like That." Show time is 8 PM. Melissa Errico began her professional career portraying Cosette in Les Misérables, and she followed with leading roles in Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Amour (Tony nomination), Dracula and the City Center Encores! productions of Call Me Madam and One Touch of Venus. She appeared in a production of Threepenny Opera at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Errico's recent Off-Broadway credits include Finian's Rainbow and Aunt Dan and Lemon. She also starred in the Hollywood Bowl presentations of Camelot and The Sound of Music. Errico's debut solo recording was titled "Blue Like That."
