News Memorial for Richard Rodney Bennett Set for Oct. 28 A memorial service for Richard Rodney Bennett, the accomplished English composer and musician who carved an elegant, witty profile in the cabaret world as the accompanist and foil to the late singer Mary Cleere Haran, will be held Oct. 28 at 7:30 PM at St. Peter's Church.

The program will include "Reflections on a Theme of William Walton," "Concerto for Stan Getz" and "Songs Before Sleep."

Performers will include Eddie Daniels, tenor saxophone; Jonathan Lemalu, bass baritone; Fred Sherry, cello, Mike Truesdell, Lmpani; and Scott Dunn, conductor.

A string orchestra will comprise Jesse Mills, Ariana Kim, Anna Lim, Doori Na, KaLe Hyun, Rob Moose, Kathryn Andersen and David Fulmer, violin; Toby Appel, Richard O’Neill and John Stulz, viola; Fred Sherry, Matthew Zalkind and Jay Campbell, cello; and Jeremy McCoy and Rachel Calin, bass.

Saint Peter’s Church is located at 619 Lexington Ave. at 54th St. Admission is free, although donations will be accepted.
