Classic Arts News "Met in the Parks" Announces 2007 Lineup The Metropolitan Opera's annual "Met in the Parks" series returns for its 41st season next month, with eight free performances — four each of Puccini's La Bohme and Gounod's Faust — from June 12 to June 23 in parks in each of New York City's five boroughs and two in New Jersey.
This summer's series kicks off on June 12 on the Great Lawn of Central Park with La Bohme, starring Hei-Kyung Hong as MimÐ, Mary Dunleavy as Musetta, tenor Roberto Aronica as Rodolfo and baritone Dwayne Croft as Marcello. Gareth Morrell conducts.

For the June 15 Bohme in the Bronx, MimÐ will be sung by Elena Evseeva, Musetta by Elizabeth Caballero, Rodolfo by Jos_ Luis Duval Rodolfo and Marcello by John Hancock.

The Met presents Faust on June 13 in Central Park, with Maurizio Benini conducting David Pomeroy as Faust, Katie van Kooten as Margu_rite, James Morris as M_phistoph_ls, Kate Lindsey as Si_bel and Hung Yun as Valentin.

For the Prospect Park Faust on June 19, Ellie Dehn will sing Marguerite, Fernando de la Mora will take the title role and Sebastian Catana will sing Valentin.
