News Mexico City Forever Tango Extended Again Due to the success of Luis Bravo's Forever Tango in Mexico City, the passionate tango revue has again extended its performance schedule at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda 2. Tango returned to Mexico City after a highly successful limited engagement last July at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda. In its current visit to Mexico, Tango opened Sept. 22 for a two-week limited engagement, and was supposed to close Oct. 6, but the success has been so notable that performances were extended through Oct. 18, and now, to an unspecified date.

Due to the success of Luis Bravo's Forever Tango in Mexico City, the passionate tango revue has again extended its performance schedule at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda 2. Tango returned to Mexico City after a highly successful limited engagement last July at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda. In its current visit to Mexico, Tango opened Sept. 22 for a two-week limited engagement, and was supposed to close Oct. 6, but the success has been so notable that performances were extended through Oct. 18, and now, to an unspecified date. The new Teatro Alameda 2 is located next door to the Teatro Alameda 1, and both venues are owned and operated by Mexico's broadcasting emporium, Televisa.

Broadway's Forever Tango opened June 16, 1997 at the Walter Kerr Theatre for a limited run that was supposed to end Aug. 9, 1997; but then was extended several times before announcing an open-ended run which was later transferred to the Marquis Theatre, where the show finally closed August 1, 1998; after over a year on Broadway.

Forever Tango runs at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda 2 Tues., Wed., and Thurs. at 8:30 PM; Fri. & Sat. at 6 PM & 9:30 PM' and Sun. at 6 PM. For information and tickets call Boletel at 011-52-5-241-4177.
