News Michael Cerveris, Freddie Roman and More Will Turn Birdland Into "TACT Lounge" for Benefit, April 24 TACT (The Actors Company Theatre) will celebrate its 14th year with a gala April 24 event featuring Michael Cerveris and legendary comic Freddie Roman at Birdland in Manhattan.

Cerveris (of Broadway's Sweeney Todd and Assassins) and Roman will be joined by members of the TACT Company and special guests including guitarist Chris Bergson, and singers Allison Blackwell, Laura Griffith and Janelle Anne Robinson "in a swinging evening of musical fun as the company turns the legendary jazz club into the Las Vegas-style 'TACT Lounge.'" The event will include dinner and the performance. Tickets may be purchased through TACT at (212) 645-8228.

The Actors Company Theatre's co-artistic directors are Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones. TACT "celebrates language, the actor, and the spoken word."
