Pasek and Paul, nominated for their Best Original Score to the Tony-nominated A Christmas Story, the Musical, told NY1 on the red carpet at the 67th Annual Tony Awards that Greif would direct their new musical and that they also have plans to musicalize a project for Disney.

Pasek and Paul, who also penned the score to the Off-Broadway musical Dogfight, often credit Alan Menken and Howard Ashman as their inspirations.

"We're working on a new show. It's an original musical," Paul previously told Playbill.com at the May 1 Tony Awards press junket. "It's an idea that we've had since college, and we're finally getting a chance to write it."

Pasek added that they are working on the project with playwright Steven Levenson, whose The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin can currently be seen in a limited summer engagement at Roundabout Theatre Company's Laura Pels Theatre Off-Broadway.
