Winther's agent confirmed to Playbill On-Line that the actor will replace Richard Binsley as Harry Bright Oct. 22. That day, most of the original cast will depart the production at the Winter Garden Theatre.

His Off Broadway credits include Hapgood, Berlin to Broadway, Forever Plaid, and the original cast of Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding. Winther has been seen on screen in "Independence Day," "Universal Soldier," "Law & Order," "Mary and Rhoda," "The Wild Thornberrys" and "Rocket Power."
