News Millie's Foster Speaks to 200 Theatre Students Nov. 11 Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, who stars in the hit musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, will address 200 students Nov. 11 in Michigan.

Foster is in Detroit to receive the Emerging Artist Award Nov. 10 at the 18th Annual ArtServe Michigan Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture ceremony. The following morning — from 9:30-11:30 AM — the singer actress will take part in a "Talkback" session that will include 200 drama and musical theatre high school students from the state of Michigan. Sutton Foster, who currently stars in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie, received the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Astaire awards her performance in the musical at the Marquis Theatre. Her other Broadway credits include roles in Les Misérables, Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Grease!. Foster's regional and tour credits include What the World Needs Now, Dorian, Three Musketeers, South Pacific and The Will Rogers Follies.
