Mind the Gap will be participating in the UkwithNY program from Oct. 14-28, as they present new plays by both British and American playwrights in a "mission to develop and promote new works by British writers for NYC audiences and to foster a play exchange between artists in the UK and the US," according to a press statement.
They will present a staged reading of Billy the Kid and Crab Lady by Holly Phillips, productions of short plays: Journal by Annabelle Jones, Change of Heart by Kevin Lee, Three Tables by Dan Remmes and Beautiful Noises by Scott Sickles. They will also put up their exclusive adaptation of Gary Oldman's Nil by Mouth. Oldman is best known for his film performances in "Dracula" and "Prick Up Your Ears."
UkwithNY is a two-week program of presentations in the visual and performing arts, fashion, film, design, technology, education, business and community affairs that illustrate the newest aspects in Britain that display the similarities between the UK and New York.
