Classic Arts News Minnesota Ensembles Join Forces for Hurricane Benefit on October 16 Eight leading Twin Cities arts organizations will collaborate on a concert to raise money for the American Red Cross's hurricane relief efforts next month, the Minnesota Orchestra announced.
The event will take place at Minneapolis's Orchestra Hall on October 16 at 7 p.m.

At the concert, the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Minnesota Opera orchestra will perform together, joined by a narrator from the Guthrie Theater and singers from the choral group VocalEssence, the Minnesota Chorale, and Minnesota Opera. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Art Center will provide artworks by Southern artists, to be displayed in the lobby of Orchestra Hall.

Tickets will go on sale on September 20 through the Orchestra Hall box office and the Minnesota Orchestra's sales department at 612-371-5656 or 800-292-4141. The minimum suggested donation is $25. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund.
