News Miranda, Carnelia and White Announced for Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda will join Tony nominee Craig Carnelia and Grammy winner Lari White for the 4th annual Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project in June.

The trio of songwriters will serve as master teachers for the songwriting intensive that runs June 21-27 on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University. The workshop, open to 12 writers or writing teams ages 18-30, is offered at no cost to participants, who also receive a stipend to cover board and travel expenses. The week-long Songwriters Project culminates in a concert tribute to Johnny Mercer that will include Miranda (In the Heights), Carnelia (Sweet Smell of Success, Is There Life After High School?) and White (Ring of Fire, "Green Eyed Soul"), as well as the participating student songwriters.
