2 Pianos, 4 Hands is a small Canadian production that has been selling out at the Tarragon Theatre in Toronto. As a matter of fact, there isn't a seat left to purchase through the rest of the run of the show. Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt (the four hands in question) had been courted by five different production companies to present the show on tour. Yesterday David and Ed Mirvish announced that they will present 2 Pianos, 4 Hands next fall in New York after a year long Canadian tour.
Ted and Richard, also known as Talking Fingers Inc. will retain full artistic control of other productions and say that when other performers are selected to play the roles they can use their own names, party pieces, and incorporate their own dialogue.
