News Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary to Be Marked with West End Gala Recorded by BBC Radio 2; Live Album Also Planned Miss Saigon is to mark the 25th anniversary of its original opening with a special gala performance Sept. 22, in which the cast of the current new production will be joined by members of the original company for a special finale.

It has also been announced that the first Live Cast Recording of the 2014 company will go on sale the same day, released by Universal Music and First Night Records and available on iTunes and at the Prince Edward Theatre.

All tickets for tha Gala Performance will be at the original 1989 prices of £22.50, £20, £16.50 and £13.50. The performance will be recorded for BBC Radio 2 and will be broadcast in its entirety Sept. 28.

Miss Saigon stars Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer, Eva Noblezada as Kim, Alistair Brammer as Chris, Tamsin Carroll as Ellen, Kwang-Ho Hong as Thuy, Hugh Maynard as John and Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi.

Miss Saigon has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. This new production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt, production design by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux, costume design by Andreane Neofitou, lighting design by Bruno Poet, projections realized by Luke Halls, sound design by Mick Potter and orchestrations by William David Brohn. Musical supervision is by Stephen Brooker and John Rigby. Musical direction is by Alfonso Casado Trigo.

Tickets for this performance go on sale Aug. 26. Fans of the show will have a two-hour priority-booking period on-line from 10 AM London time via Miss Saigon social networks and the official show website with general on-sale starting at noon (maximum 2 tickets per person on-line).
