Pose star Mj Rodriguez and Crazy Rich Asians film star Nico Santos will announce nominations for the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards January 25 via live-stream from AT&T’s Hello Lounge at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
The awards, which recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBTQ community and the issues that affect their lives, are presented in dual ceremonies each spring.
The Los Angeles honors will take place March 28 at the Beverly Hilton, with the New York City awards to follow May 4 at the New York Hilton Midtown.
“The images and stories recognized by the GLAAD Media Awards over the past 30 years raised the bar for LGBTQ inclusion in the media industry and furthered acceptance among countless audience members,” said GLAAD Media Awards President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis in a statement. “The 30th anniversary of the GLAAD Media Awards will celebrate outstanding new LGBTQ talent like Mj and Nico who break through industry glass ceilings while celebrating the lengths we have come in LGBTQ representation across media.”
