It will mark the group's first time performing on stage together since they appeared at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles Sept. 15, 1980, and the first time they've appeared on a U.K. stage since a performance at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane 40 years ago.
The group, with a combined age of 357, revealed that Eric Idle will direct the show, with further staging by Arlene Phillips and animations by Terry Gilliam. They promised some of their greatest hits, though Cleese said that with both an artificial knee and hip that the Ministry of Funny Walks will be beyond him.
The event will also be filmed "and we'll try to flog it later," said Idle.
Tickets, which will be priced £27.50-£95, will go on sale Nov. 25.
