News Monty Python's Spamalot, Starring Kelly Briggs as King Arthur, Begins Tonight Surflight Theatre's production of the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot, directed by Charlie Siedenburg, begins performances July 30 in Beach Haven, NJ, as part of the company's 65th anniversary season.

The cast includes Kelly Briggs as King Arthur with Ali Gleason (Lady of Lake), Christopher Sloan (Sir Robin), Stephen Cerf (Lancelot), Mark Alpert (Sir Galahad), Tom DeMichele (Sir Bedevere), Glenn Giron (Patsy) and Christopher Timson (Herbert).

Featuring music and lyrics by the Grammy-Award winning team of Eric Idle and John Du Prez and a book by Idle, Spamalot "tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their madcap quest for the Holy Grail," according to Surflight. "Did we mention the bevy of beautiful show girls, flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers?"

The ensemble includes Amanda Lynn Fannon, Ronnie Keller, Morgan McCann, Brian Martin, Amelia Millar, Grant Snuffer, Brendan Stackhouse, Kelly Swint and Janet Wiggins.

Opening night is set for July 31 for a run through Aug. 24.

Other members of the creative team include choreographer Jenn Rapp, music director Henco Espag, scenic designer Steven Lee Burright, costume coordinator Stacey Jeungling, lighting designer Benjamin Weill, sound designer Mark Keeler and production stage manager Amy Hadam.
