News   Moonlight Becomes Worth Street Theatre, Oct. 31
The Worth Street Theatre, which has done well by recent premieres of Christopher Shinn’s Four and Marlane Meyer’s The Mystery of Attraction, brings out another new play for this fall, Moonlight Room by Tristine Skyler.

The show will begin previews Oct. 31 at the Tribeca Playhouse (111 Reade Street) for an opening Nov. 3. The run is through Nov. 24. Artistic director Jeff Cohen, as always, directs. Moonlight is set in the waiting room of a New York City hospital ER. There, two adolescents wait to hear the fate of their friend. Featured in the cast are Laura Breckenridge, Lawrence Jones, Kathryn Layng, Mark Rosenthal and Brendan Sexton III.

Skyler’s background lies mainly in television and film. As an actress, she has appeared on TV in “Providence” and “Angel,” and in the film “Book of Shadows: Blair Witch II.” As a screenwriter, she co-authored “Getting to Know You.” She also starred in and co-produced the movie “Final Draft,” which featured Rosenthal.
