News Morillo's Angry Young Women Sets Los Angeles Dates Matt Morillo's Off-Broadway comedy Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans With High Class Issues will make its Los Angeles debut in October.

Angry Young Women will arrive on the West Coast for a limited engagement at the Hudson Mainstage on Hollywood's Theater Row, playing Oct. 2-Nov. 9.

Original cast members from the Off-Broadway production, including Jessica Durdock, Tom Pilutik, Nick Coleman and Jason Drumwright, have signed on for the limited Los Angeles production that will also feature cast member Gina Regalbuto and direction by playwright Matt Morillo.

Morillo's play was produced by the Theater for the New City for a limited run in January 2007 and made an Off-Broadway transfer to the Players Theatre in July 2007, where it ran for 51 performances. Angry Young Women recently concluded an engagement in Sydney, Australia.

Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans With High Class Issues, according to press notes, is "a series of vignettes about the psychology of nervous urban goddesses. It parades a series of foxy, witty and anxious women who bear the expectations of the world like an itchy muffler. They go head to head with such issues as Electra complexes, bikini waxes, low rider jeans, their oversexed mothers, thongs, brazen teenagers, men's sexual fantasies, side effects of birth control drugs, mean teenagers on the subway, sympathy sex and the artistic integrity of penises and vaginas in independent films."

Both Angry Young Women and Morillo's All Aboard the Marriage Hearse have been published by Samuel French. For tickets phone (323) 960-7711 or visit www.hudsontheatre.com. The Hudson Guild Theatre is located at 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.
