News   Morrison, Long, McIntyre and Cearley to Star in NYMF's Bernice Bobs Her Mullet
Original Merrily We Roll Along cast member Ann Morrison will join Garrett Long and Gerry McIntyre for the world premiere of Bernice Bobs Her Mullet — based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald story "Bernice Bobs Her Hair" — at the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Featuring book, music and lyrics by Joe Major, Bernice Bobs Her Mullet "tells the story of a young redneck who leaves her Podunk hometown to experience life in the big city... of Little Rock, Arkansas. It isn't long before Bernice discovers the scariest part of urban living... spoiled teenagers! Soon, Bernice gets swept up in the glamour and politics of popularity and learns the hard way that you shouldn't let it go to your head," according to press notes.

Long (The Spitfire Grill) stars in the title role alongside Nick Cearley (Times They Are a-Changin'), Katrina Rose Dideriksen (Hairspray), Hollie Howard (Hairspray), Brandon Wardell (Good Vibrations), Lauren Worsham, as well as the aforementioned McIntyre (Once On This Island) and Morrison (Merrily We Roll Along, LoveMusik).

Bernice Bobs Her Mullet has a design team including Shea Sullivan (choreographer), Charles Corcoran (scenic design), Herrick Goldman (lighting design), Ryan Rossetto (costume design), Justin Hatchimonji (music director) and Kim Douglas Steiner (music supervisor).

Andy Sandberg, who most recently worked on Broadway assisting Hal Prince on LoveMusik, helms the production for NYMF. Steven Ullman produces the make-over musical for NYMF.

Bernice Bobs Her Mullet will play the Julia Miles Theatre, located at 424 West 55th Street in Manhattan, from Sept. 19–30. Tickets are available by calling (212) 352-3101 or by visiting
