Jamison Scott, who was recently seen on Broadway in Motown, will release his debut album, Walk a Mile, October 25. Featuring ten original songs, the album is now available for presale on iTunes.

“With a unique fusion of modern-day country sensibility, combined with Motown and Gospel influences, Scott makes a firm claim on fresh territory in the Country Soul landscape pioneered by Bonnie Raitt and Marc Broussard,” according to press notes.

Scott adds, “It’s about putting yourself in other people’s shoes and examining the way we judge people based on their circumstance.” He credits his time with Motown the Musical for helping him tie together his love of country, pop and gospel with contemporary songwriting.

Scott collaborated with co-writers and vocalists, including Tamar Davis (Motown the Musical, “The Voice” Season 10), Josh Sassanella (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Rock of Ages) and composer Bobby Hamilton.

Scott has also been seen on Broadway in Grease, Memphis and Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark.
