Derek McLane took home his third Excellence in Production Design Award during the Art Directors Guild's 23rd annual ceremony February 2. The Tony-winning set designer was recognized for his work on last year's 90th Academy Awards.
McLane previously won ADG awards for the 2015 and 2014 Oscars ceremonies (picking up an Emmy for the latter as well). He also won an Emmy for his design for NBC's Hairspray Live!
This year, McLane's scenic work will be featured in Broadway's Moulin Rouge! and Burn This. He is currently represented on Broadway with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. His myriad credits also include this season's American Son and Gettin' The Band Back Together and, previously, 33 Variations, for which he won a Tony.
The ceremony, hosted by Tony nominee David Alan Grier, also paid tribute to Oscar and Tony nominee and movie musical honcho Rob Marshall, presenting him with the Cinematic Imagery Award.
