Madison Square Garden will hold auditions for various children's roles (including Tiny Tim) on Sept. 28 for their upcoming production of A Christmas Carol, starring Tony Roberts as Scrooge.
All aspiring young actors (ages 7-10) must prepare a Christmas song of their choice, as well as commit to the rehearsal and show dates of Nov. 10-Dec. 30. Registration begins at 3 PM at the Theatre Terrace of Madison Square Garden Lobby (enter on 7th Ave & 33rd Street), with auditions beginning at 3:30 PM.
The holiday classic opens at The Theater at Madison Square Garden Nov. 26 and runs through Dec. 30.
The Theater at Madison Square Garden is a 5,600-seat house in the greater MSG complex. MSG reports that there are plenty of seats available for all performances, with tickets prices running $92, $69, $44, and $29.
Known for his extensive work in many of Woody Allen's films, Roberts has starred on Broadway as Toddy in Victor/Victoria and in the Broadway musicals Promises, Promises and Sugar. More recently, Roberts starred in the much-praised Paper Mill Playhouse revival of Follies.
