News Mum Puppettheatre Founds New Philly Home w/ 50 Foot, Sept. 8-19 Mum Puppettheatre, the critically-acclaimed, international touring company, will open a new home at 115 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. Mum will open the space with the fourth installment of their annual Fantoccini, Attack of the 50 Foot Fantoccini, Sept. 8 - 19 (with a Pay-What-You-Can preview Sept. 7).

Mum Puppettheatre, the critically-acclaimed, international touring company, will open a new home at 115 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. Mum will open the space with the fourth installment of their annual Fantoccini, Attack of the 50 Foot Fantoccini, Sept. 8 - 19 (with a Pay-What-You-Can preview Sept. 7).

50 Foot Fantoccini is a compilation of new original puppet skits created by Mum artistic director Robert Smythe and associate artist Scott Hitz. The production, which will feature performances by Smythe, Hitz, and others, utilizes Mum's wordless performance style.

Mum Puppettheatre is dedicated to producing original works of theatre using puppetry and has toured extensively through the United States and through four continents. The company has won several awards, including three "Citations of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry" from the Union Internationale de la Marionnette and five (Philadelphia) Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre.
