News Muny's Titanic, with Hewitt, Leung, Stram, Ragusa, Grove, Sets Sail July 5 Tom Hewitt, who received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for his performance in The Rocky Horror Show, plays the role of ship architect Thomas Andrews in the St. Louis Muny's production of the Tony-winning musical Titanic, which begins performances July 5 at the nation's oldest and largest outdoor theatre.

Directed by Don Stephenson, with choreography by Liza Gennaro, the production will run through July 11.

The ensemble comprises Laura Ackermann, Karin Berutti, Amy Blackman, Matthew Braver, Amanda Choate, Nick Cosgrove, Mark Freiman, Colin Hartman, Andy Jones, Samantha Massell, Kent Overshown, Mary Michael Patterson, John Riddle, Patrick Ross, Madeline Trumble and Gia Grazia Valenti.

The production features musical direction by Kevin Stites, set design by Michael Anania and lighting design by David Lander. The production stage manager is Peter Hynds; the assistant stage manager is Lorraine LiCavoli; and the resident stage manager is Joseph Schulte.

Paul Blake produces for The Muny; the associate producer is Mike Bosner. Titanic won 1997 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical (Peter Stone), Best Musical, Best Orchestrations (Jonathan Tunick), Best Score (Maury Yeston) and Best Lighting Design (Stewart Laing).

The remainder of the season includes Damn Yankees, July 12-18; Cats, July 19-25; The Sound of Music, July 26-Aug. 1; Footloose, Aug. 2-8; and Show Boat, Aug 9-15.
