News Murder at the Gates, By Steven Sater and James Bourne, To Play NYU's Skirball Center New York University's Tisch School of the Arts will present the new musical Murder at the Gates at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

Directed by Peter DuBois (Sons of the Prophet, Modern Terrorism, Becky Shaw) the show’s first workshop production began Aug. 19, and performances will be held Sept. 3-8.

"It's Clue meets Clueless: Millennial America," press notes state. "A to-die-for manor in a posh gated community. A teenage girl's birthday — all her bestest friends arrive in costume to perform a murder mystery play. And then somehow the play becomes her life..."

The rock musical features book and lyrics by Tony Award winner Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) and music by British singer/songwriter James Bourne (Loserville, Out There: The Musical).

The show will be fully cast from the student body.
