News Mushroom Cure, True Tale of Psychedelics, Begins Tonight Adam Strauss’ one-man show recounts the unconventional ways in which the actor attempted to cure his OCD.

Inspired by a scientific study showing that hallucinogenic mushrooms have the potential to cure obsessive-compulsive disorder, Adam Strauss decided to give it a go. He recounts his experience in Mushroom Cure, a new solo play that begins July 16 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

With direction by Jonathan Libman, Mushroom Cure is set to run through August 7. The show, billed as both “hilarious and harrowing,” debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe followed by an engagement at the New York Fringe Festival, where it won the Overall Excellence Award for Solo Performance.

All profits from the show will be donated to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).
