Performers Mark Anders and Carl J. Danielsen are featured in the Seattle Rep production directed by Bruce K. Sevy. The comedy finds two young musicians who tell the stories of their piano lesson days, taking on over 20 characters in 20 songs. The work, which was created and performed by Dykstra and Greenblatt and is based on their childhoods, opened at the Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, Ontario in April 1996. 2 Pianos, 4 Hands has since played in over 100 cities in French, German and Japanese. In some cases, the roles of Ted and Richard have been performed by women as Thea and Rachel. For more information about the show, visit the official website at www.2pianos4hands.com.
The design team for 2 Pianos, 4 Hands includes Scott Weldin (scenic), Kish Finnegan (costume), Tracy Odishaw (lighting) and Brian Jerome Peterson (sound).
