News Musical Ordinary Days Gets Orchestration for Adirondack Run; Cast Announced New York City actors Adam Armstrong, Amy Justman, Will Reynolds and Dana Steingold will play the young New Yorkers of Adam Gwon's musical Ordinary Days, to play the Adirondack Theatre Festival June 24-July 3.

ATF producing artistic director Mark Fleischer directs the show, his first as the new artistic director of the upstate New York troupe, at the Charles R. Wood Theater in downtown Glens Falls.

According to ATF, "In Ordinary Days a lost notebook sets off a chain of events transforming the ordinary lives of four young New Yorkers into something extraordinary. From the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in and out of taxi cabs, to Union Square, this contemporary musical takes audiences on a journey of discovery filled with the romance and magic of a New York fairy tale."

Audiences will be hearing the show's first-ever orchestration, funded in part by the National Fund for New Musicals. Fleischer stated, "ATF has always been committed to developing new works for the theatre. The next logical step in the development of Ordinary Days was to provide Adam Gwon with a fuller orchestra. Previous performances have only utilized a piano for accompaniment. The additional funding allowed ATF to hire an orchestrator to work with Adam on expanding the musical scope of the piece."

Andy Einhorn is orchestrator and music director.

Fleischer discovered Ordinary Days at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's annual Festival of New Musicals in New York City. Composer and lyricist Adam Gwon was recently awarded the Fred Ebb Award for excellence in musical theatre songwriting and named one of "50 to Watch" by Dramatist Magazine.

The Ordinary Days creative team includes set designer Mikiko Suzuki MacAdams, sound designer Ryan Gastelum, lighting designer Matt Frey and costume designer Steve Epstein.
