News Musical Theatre and Rock Collide in Things to Ruin at Joe's Pub Things to Ruin: The Songs of Joe Iconis will be presented Jan. 29, 2007, at Joe's Pub.

Presented by the Temporary Theatre Company, the 7:30 PM evening will be directed by John Simpkins and will feature a cast that includes Michael Kadin Craig, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Badia Farha, Matt Hinkley, Lance Rubin, Jason Williams and Dana Zihlman Harshaw. Things to Ruin, according to press notes, features "incendiary songs about porn stars, panic attacks, drug runs and true love." The musical theatre-rock score will be played by a four-piece band led by composer Iconis. The show was previously presented at the Ars Nova and The New York Musical Theatre Festival.

A graduate of the NYU/Tisch Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program, Joe Iconis is the recipient of a 2006 Jonathan Larson Award and a 2006 Daryl Roth Award. MCC will present his and Robert Maddock's rock musical The Black Suits next year.
