News Musical Theatre Composer Rosenblum, Who Conjured Einstein's Dreams, Gets CD The independent label, Albany Records, has released the new recording, "Impetuosities: Music of Joshua Rosenblum," a collection of chamber and vocal works by the composer of the Off-Broadway musical, Fermat's Last Tango, and the forthcoming Einstein's Dreams, based on the best-selling novel by Alan Lightman.

The disc features solo performances by Philip Smith (trumpet), Kathleen Nester (flute), Daniel Culpepper (horn), Marilyn Gibson (violin), Joanne Lessner (soprano), and Chris Thompson (baritone), as well as Joseph Turrin (piano), The Herrick Trio, The Shubert Alley Horns, and the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine Wind Band.

The composer is also featured as pianist on the recording, which was produced by Tim Peierls.

The CD is currently stocked by the major record chains, including Tower Records at Lincoln Center in New York City. It is also available on-line from www.albanyrecords.com .

Fermat's Last Tango had a run at the York Theatre Company and was preserved on a cast album. Rosenblum's actress-writer wife, Joanne Sydney Lessner, is his writing partner on Tango and Einstein's Dreams.
