News Musical Theatre West's 1776 to Feature Gaines, Vinovich, Bernard, Glaudini and More Musical Theatre West has announced full casting for its upcoming production of 1776.

The Tony Award-winning musical, which theatricalizes the debates that led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, will run July 9-25 at Long Beach, CA's Carpenter Performing Arts Center.

The previously announced Steven Glaudini (John Adams), Tami Tappan Damiano (Abagail Adams) and Davis Gaines (Richard Henry Lee) will be joined by Steve Vinovich (Benjamin Franklin), John Bisom (Thomas Jefferson), Andy Umberger (John Dickinson), Robert J. Townsend (Edward Rutledge), Jessica Bernard (Martha Jefferson), Brad Fitzgerald (Joseph Hewes), Richard Gould (Stephen Hopkins), Michael Kean (The Courier) and Damon Kirsche (Dr. Lyman Hall).

The cast will also feature Nicholas J. Leinbach, James May, Jack Messenger, Bradley Miller, Todd Nielsen, John Richard Petersen, Jon Powell, Tom Shelton, Blake Sterling, Tony Teofilo, Chris D. Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Robert Towers and Jason Webb.

Nick Degrucio will direct the production. 1776  features a score by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone.
