When "Boomie" passes away, six of his gay friends get together to throw him a memorial bash. What they don't know is that Boomie is there with them, commenting on their actions and singing along with them as they toast his life and loves.

Dyer, author of the book and lyrics, is an Emmy-nominated producer and the writer behind TV specials with Melissa Manchester, Ben Vereen, John Denver and Diana Ross. A dance music arranger, DeBenedictis' credits include Do I Hear a Waltz?, Bajour, Annie Get Your Gun, Showboat and The Night They Raided Minsky's.

Eugene Taylor directs. Taylor's credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Dear Liar, Cole, The Time of the Cuckooand Off-Broadway's A Far Country. Former Broadway performer Miriam Nelson choreographs.
