Broadway's once and future stars of Hello, Dolly! got together recently and tweeted a photo of their meeting.
Channing, 95, originated the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in the original 1964 production of the Jerry Herman musical. Midler is slated to headline the 2017 Broadway revival.
Midler offered no details about the meeting, other than to say she had met a Broadway “Unicorn.” Here is the full original tweet:
