The production, which began previews March 18, was recently nominated for the Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Seth Barrish directs.

Following the conclusion of the Off-Broadway run, the show will go on an international tour.

On May 4 Simon & Schuster will celebrate the release of Mike Birbiglia's "Sleepwalk With Me & Other Painfully True Stories" on paperback by giving away 200 free autographed copies to everyone who attends that night's performance of Mike Birbiglia's My Girlfriend's Boyfriend.

In Mike Birbiglia's My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, press notes state, "Mike shares a lifetime of romantic blunders and miscues that most adults would spend a lifetime trying to forget. On this painfully honest journey, Mike struggles to find reason in an area where it may be impossible to find — love."

The production features set design by Beowulf Boritt. Mike Birbiglia's My Girlfriend's Boyfriend marks Birbiglia's return to the New York stage after his acclaimed Off-Broadway engagement in Sleepwalk With Me, for which he was nominated for the Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle awards and was the recipient of a Nightlife Award for his performance.

"After Sleepwalk With Me, I wasn't sure I'd do another play like it," he said in a recent statement. "But in developing some pieces for 'This American Life' and touring the last two years, I developed a show that I am really proud of. I performed My Girlfriend's Boyfriend in Montreal, Sydney, San Francisco, and now I'm thrilled to be bringing it to New York. It's the most cynically optimistic piece that I could write about love. It's a love letter to love. And I hope people love it. Or at least 'like' like it."

Tickets are priced $49.50 with premium seating available. Tickets can be purchased by visiting SmartTix at or by calling (212) 868-4444. For more information visit
