A hit at the 2009 Toronto Fringe Festival, performances will play the TBG Theater through Oct. 16.

Directed by Stafford Arima, the cast features Cicily Daniels, Christina DeCicco, David Hein, Ann Harada, Liz Larsen, Lev Pakman, Ravi Roth, Irene Sankoff and Bart Shatto.

My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding was penned by David Hein and Irene Sankoff with songs by David Hein. "Hein wrote the title song as a gift to his mother about her real life wedding," according to producers. "Convinced the story of his mother's journey would make a good theatrical work, David and his wife, Irene Sankoff, stitched together the stories that everyone asks them to tell: what life is like with two moms, including the seven parents at their wedding; the 'facts of life' talk that Irene received from her in-laws; and how David's mom first came out to him."

The production also features musical supervision by Ethan Popp, choreography by Matt Williams, scenery design by Adam Koch, lighting design by Driscoll Otto, costume design by Vanessa Leuck, sound design by Jeremy Lee and musical direction by Sonny Paladino.

"My last adventure at NYMF was Altar Boyz in 2004 and it's been such a joy returning to the festival with My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding," director Stafford Arima told Playbill.com. "Over the past four weeks, I've had the fortune of working with a glorious cast led by Liz Larsen and Ann Harada. The Canadian writers David Hein and Irene Sankoff have been passionately open to examining their show — which already had a successful run in Toronto…. "The re-exploring of MMLJWW' for this American premiere has been an exciting journey for the entire team. What I admire so much about this show is its humorous and heartfelt portrayal of David's true story about his moms. True stories fascinate me and this story has a colorful cast of characters in unique but universal situations that will tickle one's funny bone while also bringing a tear to one's eye."

Show times are scheduled for Oct. 5 at 8 PM, Oct. 6 at 1 PM, Oct. 10 at 1 PM, Oct. 13 at 1 PM, Oct. 14 at 8 PM and Oct. 16 at 9 PM.

TBG Theater is located at 312 West 36th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Ave.). Tickets are $20 and are available at (899) 811-4111 or www.nymf.org.
