Gideon Irving’s My Name Is Gideon: I’m Probably Going To Die, Eventually, seen Off-Broadway in 2016 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, will play a return engagement at The Brick Theater in Brooklyn this fall. The show will be remounted featuring new songs and additional material.

My Name Is Gideon: I’m Probably Going To Die, Eventually will play The Brick November 30–December 15. The run is presented by All For One Theater (AFO) in association with Richard Jordan Productions.

Irving’s solo show has been developed over the course of more than 600 performances in living rooms around the world. The show features song and storytelling, as well as the use of a number of different instruments, including the banjo, bouzouki, waterphone, shruti box, mbira, whirly tube, and scacciapensieri.

“The heart of what I do has emerged from playing in people’s homes,” says Irving. “The show, the music, the communion, the travel, and the relationships are all interwoven. The challenge and the joy of bringing my show into a theater is in discovering how to maintain and play with that intimacy I’ve found in homes.”

My Name Is Gideon: I’m Probably Going To Die, Eventually is directed by Nicholas Cotz, with lighting design by Stephen Terry, scenic design by Silovsky Studios, costumes by Alice Tavener, property design by Casey Smith, sound design by Dan Gerhard, and original artistic consultation from Ewen Wright and Raky Sastri.
