News Name Change: Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab Will Open Sept. 17 The new edition of Gerard Alessandrini's long-running revue, previously titled Forbidden Broadway Dances with the Stars!, is now scheduled to officially open Sept. 17 under the name Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab.

The newest edition of the Drama Desk Award-winning show that spoofs theatrical shows, stars and trends plays Off-Broadway's 47th Street Theatre. Alessandrini and Phillip George direct.

The current production, which pokes fun at South Pacific, In the Heights, August: Osage County, Gypsy, Young Frankenstein, Sunday in the Park with George, Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Liza Minnelli and Kristin Chenoweth — is dedicated to the memory of Alvin Colt, who designed Forbidden Broadway's costumes for 15 years.

The cast comprises Christina Bianco, Jared Bradshaw, Gina Kreiezmar and Michael West with David Caldwell on piano.

The creative team for Forbidden Broadway also includes Megan Halpern (set design), the late Colt (costume design), David Moyer (additional costumes), Mark T. Simpson (lighting design) and David Caldwell (musical direction).

Show times are Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 7:30 PM with matinees Wednesdays at 2 PM, Saturdays at 4 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
