News Nathan Lane and Cheyenne Jackson Set for USA Comedy Pilot Tony Award winner Nathan Lane and Cheyenne Jackson have signed on to star in the new USA Network pilot from "SNL" and "Bullets Over Broadway" co-author Douglas McGrath, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Producers and Forum... Tony winner Lane will star in the half-hour comedy that centers on an unlucky actor, who has to put his Broadway dreams on hold when he is forced to return home to Texas to care for his ailing father.

Jackson (Xanadu) is cast as a local doctor, with "Scrubs" actor Ken Jenkins as Lane's booze-loving father Burl.

McGrath is set to produce, direct and write the untitled project, which also counts Lane as executive producer.
