Wingfield Unbound is scheduled to open Aug. 8 at the Tom Patterson Theatre, Stratford Festival, Stratford, ON. The play, written by Canadian playwright Dan Needles, tells the story of Walt Wingfield, in his fourth season on the farm, and how he tries to preserve the memory of the old rural community of Persephone Township. He does this by promoting the crumbling Hollyhock Mill as a museum site. However, the locals say the mill is haunted. Walt, et al, are back in this brand new installment of the Wingfield saga.
Rod Beattie stars as Walt Wingfield, in his 11th. season at Stratford. The show will be directed by Douglas Beattie, and will run until Sep. 19. For information about the Stratford season, call 519 271-4040.
