
LaBute, playwright of the Drama Desk Award-nominated Reasons to Be Pretty, will adapt his play for the screen. The independently financed feature film will be directed by Jennifer Getzinger.
In the upcoming film, Brody will star as a writer who travels cross-country to see his four ex-girlfriends before he gets married.
LaBute's Some Girl(s) premiered in a MCC Theatre production, which opened June 8, 2006, at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre. The play starred "Will & Grace" actor Eric McCormack as well as Fran Drescher, Judy Reyes, Brooke Smith and Maura Tierney.
