News Neil Patrick Harris to Host TV Land Awards Neil Patrick Harris, the stage and screen star most recently on Broadway in Assassins, will host the 7th annual "TV Land Awards," which will be taped April 19 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City.

The awards program will make its debut on TV Land April 26 at 9 PM ET. In a statement Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land, said, "Neil is a dynamic and versatile actor who has won the hearts of fans and critics alike. Over the past 20 years, Neil has continued to reinvent himself with memorable roles on television, on Broadway and in film. He brings a great sense of humor and quick wit to the table and we are thrilled to have him as our host."

The 90-minute show will honor legendary artists from the entertainment industry, feature musical performances and reunite celebrity TV casts.

Neil Patrick Harris has been seen on Broadway in Assassins, Cabaret and Proof. He appeared in the Geffen Playhouse's production of All My Sons as well as the L.A. company of Rent, the Reprise! production of Sweeney Todd and the London mounting of tick, tick . . . BOOM! His screen credits include the current "How I Met Your Mother" as well as "Undercover Brother," "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "Stark Raving Mad" and "Joan of Arc."
