The 7:30 PM concert celebrates songwriters primed to pen the next generation of musicals. Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes written by Matthew Hardy and Randy Klein; Daniel Israel and Phoebe Kreutz; Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond; Tina Lear; Gordon Leary and Karlan Judd; Alex LeFevre; Robert Rokicki; Tracy Sallows; Alan Schmuckler; Katya Stanislavskaya; Jason Young and Bomi Lee; and Barry Wyner.
The new songs will be performed by Krystal Joy Brown (Hair), Tituss Burgess (Guys and Dolls, The Little Mermaid), Tony nominee Beth Fowler (The Boy from Oz, Inherit the Wind), David Hull (Wicked national tour), Jose Llana (Spelling Bee, Flower Drum Song), Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family, In the Heights), Tally Sessions (Yank!, Encores! Anyone Can Whistle), Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee national tour), Tony nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Imaginocean), Noah Weisberg (Enron, South Pacific) and Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Curtains).
Annette Jolles directs the evening with music direction by Matt Castle.
