Off-Broadway News New Adaptation of Enemy of the People Finds Its Cast Henrik Ibsen’s drama is given a fresh structure by The Barrow Group Off-Broadway.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company has announced casting for its revival of Henrik Ibsen’s Enemy of The People, adapted by Seth Barrish and K. Lorrel Manning. The world-premiere adaptation uses a revised structure and questions the strength of democracy; Manning also directs.

Enemy of the People will begin previews Off-Broadway March 11 and is set to open March 14. The run will go through April 1 at the TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group, located at 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York.

The cast includes Jeremy Folmer (The Unrepeatable Moment), Eliza Foss (Indignation), Mike Giese (A Low Lying Fog), Reade Kelly (God’s Country), Larry Mitchell (ReEntry), Katherine Neuman (Dream of A Blacklisted Actor), Martin Van Treuren (Uncle Vanya), Spiff Wiegand (War Horse), and Roxanne Wells.

Ibsen’s 1882 play Enemy of the People tells the story of a scientist who discovers an environmental catastrophe, throwing his reputation into question.

The production will have set design by Edward T. Morris, lighting design by Solomon Weisbard, and sound design by Matt Otto. Christine Lemme will be the production stage manager.
