News New Bob Dylan Musical, Forever Young, Debuts at San Francisco's ACT, March 21-30 A new musical production featuring the music of legendary Bob Dylan will make its world premiere as part of the Young Conservatory program at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre, March 21-30. Forever Young: The Music of Bob Dylan will play the Zeum Theater stage.

Created and directed by Craig Slaight with musical direction from Krista Wigle and musical arrangements by Naomi Sanchez, Forever Young will feature an array of such classic Dylan songs as "Like A Rolling Stone," "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "The Times They Are A-Changin'."

Last year ACT's Young Conservatory similarly presented Dangling Conversations: The Music of Simon and Garfunkel, which comprised the works of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel into musical numbers, each as its own scene. Forever Young, which is produced in a special arrangement with Mr. Dylan, will do the same.

The Dylan homage will feature ten teen actors from the Young Conservatory performing a combination of solos, duets and ensemble numbers. The cast includes Adde Bigelow, Eric Butte, Nathalie Michele Gorman, Rose Hogan, Zachary Karnazes, Philip Markle, Julia Mattison, Matt Mauricio, Rachel Rubenstein and Dylan Saunders. Designers for Forever Young include Jake Rodriguez (sound) and James Mulligan (sets and lights).

Folk-rock singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, over the span of his 40-year career, has produced over 40 albums. His songs have been covered by such diverse artists as Bob Marley, Joan Baez, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder and U2. Dylan was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. In 1997, Dylan became the first rock star ever to receive the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors for artistic excellence. Other awards include eight Grammy Awards and one Oscar for Best Original Song for "Things Have Changed" from the 2000 film "Wonder Boys."
