Mean Fiddler have plans to turn the 400 seat ABC cinema in Piccadilly into a cabaret club, depending, of course, on planning permission.
If this goes ahead, then not only will London have a much-needed new center for cabaret (an art form more readily associated with New York than London), but St. James's will be the cabaret center of London, thanks, too, to the presence, a few yards away from the ABC cinema, of the Jermyn Street Theatre, which specializes in cabaret and revue, as well as regularly presenting musical and straight theatre.
